About the Author
Emily Lockhart
Dr Emily Lockhart is currently working in the Curtin University School of Education. Her primary teaching focus is with pre-service Health and Physical Education teachers lecturing in pedagogy and curriculum. Emily has worked as a HPE Teacher in WA for over 30 years in both primary and secondary settings. She was the Head of HPE at Carey Baptist College, and is also the author of a range of year 7-10 Health Education workbooks. She has served on various SCSA Moderation Panels and Subject and Syllabus Advisory Committees. Health Education was the key focus area for her PhD research, where she developed a framework for the interaction of a person’s worldview and their approach to Health Education.
