Year 7 – 10 Health Teacher Guides

Our Teacher Guides are designed specifically for Year 7 – 10 Health Education in Western Australia, with full alignment to SCSA curriculum content. These guides make planning and delivering a teaching program easy, while providing students with meaningful opportunities to engage, reflect, and apply their learning.

At the heart of these guides is the principle of Human Dignity:
Every human being should be acknowledged as an inherently valuable member of the human community and as a unique expression of life, with an integrated bodily and spiritual nature. Human dignity carries a social and communal dimension, as individuals are inherently connected to the wider society.

By weaving this understanding through activities and learning tasks, the Teacher Guides encourage teachers to include respect, responsibility, and connectedness, into their teaching.

These guides provide support for teachers to plan an effective Health Education program including high quality lessons and asssessment tasks. The guides also include teachign resources such as worksheets, scenario cards and QR codes to websites and videos.
